“I have discovered that all the unhappiness of men arises from one single fact, that they cannot stay quietly in their own room.” – Blaise Pascal

Sound and noise surround us. From traffic, sirens and construction, to chatter, music and televisions. Everywhere — even in banks and restaurants — it is almost impossible to hear one’s thoughts amid the din. But it is silence that is nourishing, revitalizing and can help foster creativity and compassion. It is important to get away from the clamor of daily life and find time to be surrounded by quiet.

Do you seek constant stimulation OR are you able to embrace silence?

When I turn to silence , I discover the noise from inside. I acknowledge the incessant inner talker. Only after that, can I sometimes, access Silence.
