“Once you separate the person from the problem you can both team up and attack the problem together, instead of attacking each other.” – Marelisa Fabrega

Conflict is inevitable in life and how we handle it when it arises is both art and skill. In order to solve a problem, it is important not to demean or embarrass the person with whom we are tangling. So, we must choose our words carefully. Once words leave our mouth, it is impossible to take them back. As the popular television personality Dr. Phil counsels: “It takes a thousand ‘Atta boy’s to erase one ‘You’re an idiot, you’re worthless, you’re no good.'”

Do you tend to be hard on the person OR be hard on the problem?
